Native American and Indigenous Studies
Who Are We? Where Are We Going?

The Institute of Native American Studies at the University of Georgia hosted the second interdisciplinary meeting in Native American and Indigenous Studies April 10-12, 2008. The host and steering committees would like to thank all the organizers and attendees, each of whom contributed to make this event a tremendous success.

During that meeting, attendees voted to ratify a constitution and bylaws for the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association, thereby establishing an academic association for scholars who work in American Indian, First Nations, Aboriginal and/or Indigenous Studies.
